Sheaf Energy Park is set for July 2025 commissioning, with Pacific Green Battery Energy Parks 2 Ltd. powering the BESS with a 10-year, GBP 120 million debt. SSE Energy Supply Ltd has been contracted to provide trading and optimization services for a 249-MW/373.5-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Kent, England. The Sheaf Energy Park, set for commissioning in July 2025, is owned by Pacific Green Battery Energy Parks 2 Ltd and is backed by a 10-year GBP 120 million debt. Pacific Green is responsible for the construction and operations and maintenance of the BESS, while SSE will optimise it for 10 years. This energy storage system will be able to provide services to the grid to balance demand and supply, helping to transition to renewable energy.
