Spanish power merchant Holaluz indications PPA for 5.1-MWp solar farm
- Spanish eco-friendly power store Holaluz Clidom SA (BME: HLZ) has authorized a power purchase agreement (PPA) to procure electrical energy from a 5.1-MWp solar farm in main Spain, the business introduced on Wednesday.
The plant Huesun I, located in the region of Castile-La Mancha, is taken care of by Madrid-based asset management firm Blacksalt AM. It is operated by Spanish solar energy solutions strong Opengy, which also constructed it.
The agreement with Blacksalt and Opengy will certainly allow Holaluz to purchase enough power to supply around 3,500 clients. The PPA is an example of Holaluz's initiative to promote neighborhood and small-scale power manufacturing from both rooftop and ground-mounted installations as part of its collaboration programme with small generators, the power supplier said.
Holaluz added that it had signed PPAs for 49.1 MW of renewable energy so far this year, which enabled it to connect over 33,000 customers to clean power.
