Spain's Greenalia gets 502 MWp of solar projects in Texas
- Spanish renewables designer Greenalia introduced on Monday that it has actually acquired three utility-scale solar projects totalling 502 MWp in Texas.
The projects are the 265-MWp Donegal Solar, the 119-MWp Leitrim Solar and also the 118-MWp Roscommon Solar. All three are in advanced stages of development, with Greenalia preparing to reach industrial procedure date in early 2025.
Nothing else information were revealed.
The acquisition is part of the firm's strategy to broaden in the United States, where it showed up two years ago.
In 2021, Greenalia acquired a firm with a ready-to-build solar photovoltaic portfolio of 695 MWp, plus 385 MW of battery storage. This year, the company included 451 MW of solar projects to the package-- Wensowitch, Ratcliff, Reis as well as Wittig, all of them in Texas.
The latest acquisition increased Greenalia's solar pipeline in the United States to near to 1,700 GW, the company said.
