Sonnedix Fires Up 149MW Solar Plant in Portugal

On Thursday, solar power company Sonnedix broke ground on a 149-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Portugal. The Sonnedix Douro PV park is located in the municipality of Tarouca, Viseu district in northern Portugal and is expected to be completed by the end of 2024. On completion, it will be capable of generating 234.5 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to meet the demand of 78,000 Portuguese homes. This is the first of many PV projects the company has planned for Portugal as part of its mission to become a leader in the energy transition.
