Solarvest protects agreements to construct 40 MW of solar farms in Malaysia
- Malaysian photovoltaic or pv (PV) plants home builder Solarvest Holdings Bhd (KLSE: SLVEST) has actually been granted 3 contracts to construct 40 MW of large-scale solar farms in its residence nation.
The engineering, purchase, building as well as commissioning (EPCC) agreements have a combined value of MYR 154.4 million (USD 36.8 m/EUR 33.5 m) and were safeguarded under the regional large-scale solar 4 (LSS4) plan, Solarvest said today.
The PV business has been assigned as the EPCC contractor by Taiping Solar Sdn Bhd, with three of the latter's wholly-owned subsidiaries.
More details on the tasks are readily available in the table below.
The TEJA 1 as well as Kellie solar farms are set to commence business operations by the end of the year, while the 10-MW TEJA 2 plant is set up for completion by mid-2023.
"With the new agreements, our complete unbilled order publication now stands at yet another all-time high of around MYR 742 million. Majority of which will be identified by end of calendar year 2024, providing encouraging earnings visibility for the Group," said Solarvest's Executive Director and CEO, Davis Chong Chun Shiong.
