SolarArise continuing with 75-MW solar project in India
- SolarArise India Projects Pvt Ltd has issued the first part of a notice to proceed (NTP) for the construction start of a 75-MW solar park in Uttar Pradesh.

The milestone was announced on Friday by ThomasLloyd, which is an investor in the India-focused solar project developer. The NTP was issued to domestic engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor Jakson Ltd.
Jakson will first work on the design and layout of the switchyard at the project site, proceeding with soil testing, topography, transmission route survey and electrical resistivity testing related to the project. JA Solar Holdings' (NASDAQ:JASO) mono PERC modules will be powering the solar park.
The photovoltaic (PV) project is being supported by debt provided by the Indian government's Power Finance Corp Ltd.
SolarArise, among whose shareholders is also the Global Efficiency and Renewable Energy Fund (GEEREF), last autumn brought online a 27-MW solar park in Karnataka.
