- Ricardo Sappia's solar-powered smart weather station tracks the moon state, sunrise/sunset, temperature, wind, and cloud cover, all in an energy-conserving E Ink display. Keep up with the elements without breaking the bank.
Ricardo Sappia has designed a solar-powered smart weather station which uses a tri-color E Ink display. It is powered by a small LiPo battery which is charged via a small solar cell. The weather station can display key weather info such as moon state, sunrise and sunset times, temperature highs and lows, wind speed and direction, and cloud cover conditions, as well as the time and date. It is programmed to fetch the latest weather info and conserve battery power by entering a power-saving deep sleep mode in between each update.
What Weather Info Can Ricardo Sappia's Solar-Powered Smart Station Display?
- Wind Speed
- Wind Direction
- Cloud Cover Conditions
- Humidity Levels
- UV Index
- Barometric Pressure
- Precipitation
- Dew Point
