SMA materials MVPS for 220 MW PV plant in Chile

• German inverter producer SMA Solar Technology AG is supplying 46 Medium Voltage Power Station (MVPS) to the 220 MW "Diego de Almagro Sur" photovoltaic or pv power plant in Chile's Atacama Desert. The project is being built on part of the South American power manufacturer Colbun SA.

The MVPS are each geared up with a Sunny Central 4600 inverter as well as a transformer and also switchgear in containers, and also furthermore with a temperature level monitoring system for the severe problems in the desert.
