Vena Energy has obtained financing for its 53-MW Kasama solar project in Japan. The facility located in Ibaraki prefecture in the Kanto region of Honshu is expected to power more than 14,000 households annually. The company secured a JPY-16.9-billion loan for the project, arranged by MUFG Bank and co-financed by Joyo Bank in Japan. Vena Energy is further expanding its operational portfolio, having commissioned a 272-MW solar park in Taiwan in April and added 562 MW across 10 projects in Japan, Taiwan, and Australia last year, bringing its total operating capacity to 2.7 GW.
