Siemens Gamesa seeking nod for 7.5-MW solar-plus-storage project in Spain

- Wind generator maker Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (BME: SGRE) is seeking a permit to develop a 7.5-MW solar-plus-storage system on the Spanish island of Tenerife.
According to details published in Spain's main state gazette, the Arico Hoya Honda solar plant would use 18,225 n-Type Bifi components of 440 Wp as well as lithium-ion battery storage space of 7.62 MW.
The project, officially advertised by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Wind Farms SA, is budgeted at EUR 7.65 million (USD 8.65 m).
The company suggested to set up the system in the Tenerife municipality of Arico. It has actually also requested that the project be stated an utility, the record reveals.
