Shizen Energy finishes 2.2 MW of solar plants in Japan

- Japanese renewables programmer Shizen Energy Inc introduced today it has completed and begun power generation from 2.19 MW of solar photovoltaic or pv (PV) plants in Kagoshima prefecture.

Situated in Shibushi city, the solar portfolio consists of three plants-- Shibushi Matsuyama 1, 2 and also 3-- covering an overall of 34,401 square metres (370,289 sq ft) on deserted agricultural lands.
Constructed under the solar sharing design, the plants allow the farmland underneath to be made use of for agricultural objectives such as the cultivation of pasture to be sold to nearby animals farmers.
The PV facilities are anticipated to generate regarding 2.68 million kWh each year, enough to satisfy the yearly power need of about 850 homes. Unit Juwi Shizen Energy Operation Inc is accountable for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the assets, the Japanese energy company noted.
