Shizen Energy acquires funds for farm-type solar plant in Japan

- Japanese renewables developer Shizen Energy Inc has commenced construction of a 2.19-MWp solar energy plant on abandoned farming lands in Kagoshima prefecture after raising the needed funds.

The funding comes in the form of a non-recourse loan from Minami-Nippon Bank Ltd
Located in Shibushi City, the system will certainly consist of three photovoltaic or pv (PV) plants-- Shibushi Matsuyama 1, 2 and 3-- covering a total amount of 34,401 square metres. The farmland below the solar park will be utilized for pastures.
Once in operation, the PV range will be able to produce around 2.68 million kWh per year, sufficient to satisfy the annual power need of approximately 850 homes. Power generation is scheduled to commence by the end of April 2021.
