Shell seals 300MW Spanish solar energy play
- Solaria to deliver electricity from six projects under a 10-year power purchase agreement

Shell Energy Europe is to purchase power from Solaria from solar farms in Spain amounting to 300MW under a long-lasting power acquisition contract (PPA).
The power will be provided from 6 solar projects that will certainly generate around 570 gigawatt hours of electricity annually.
The projects will certainly be connected to the grid considerably through 2021.
The duration of the PPA is 10 years, with power distributions starting upon appointing of the facilities.
Shell Energy Europe general manager for power Rupen Tanna said: "This solar power purchase agreement will enable us to supply even more tidy power to our customers, while likewise assisting to support the ongoing development of eco-friendly power in Spain."
