- German Steag Solar Energy Solutions GmbH (SENS) and KGAL Investment Management GmbH & Co. KG intend to come up with photovoltaic power projects in Sicily with an installed capacity of 440 MW.
This includes a total of six solar parks at the provinces of Palermo and Trapani. The beginning of construction of the initial phase is planned at the end of 2020. The plants must be connected directly to the grid of the Italian grid operator Terna at the end of 2021 through the building of a new transformer station.
SENS emerged from the prior Gildemeister Energy Solutions in the summer of 2019. According to the business, the now planned plants have been just the beginning point for additional pursuits. In 2020, Italy, Spain and Germany will be the three main European markets for SENS.
