RWE is creating 3 solar plants in Spain with an overall capacity of 98MW.
All three projects will be completed in the first quarter of 2023.
The projects make up a 10MW solar installation in Las Vaguadas in the province of Badajoz, with setup of 20,000 panels expected to start in late summer, and solar farms in Casa Valdes as well as Puerta del Sol, each with a capacity of 44MW.
For all three solar projects, RWE is utilizing bifacial modules to boost their production.
RWE is likewise involved in a PV plant in the Spanish district of Toledo and in the solar thermal power station Andasol 3.
Additionally RWE's 45MW ground-mounted solar farm Alarcos entered into operation in 2020, situated south of the city of Ciudad Real, in the independent community of Castilla-La Mancha
