  • R.Power Renewables shines in Portugal with a new 4.8-MWp solar farm, powering thousands of homes and leading the way in clean energy innovation.

Polish company R.Power Renewables has started up a 4.8-MWp solar photovoltaic farm in Portugal, located in Serta City. The solar park, consisting of over 8,600 bifacial PV modules on a 9-hectare site, is estimated to generate 8.4 GWh per year, enough to power nearly 3,300 households. The output will be sold under a power purchase agreement with an undisclosed offtaker. Nomad Electric built the plant, with Nomad Electric Services handling its operation and maintenance.

This is R.Power's second solar park in Portugal, following the commissioning of a 13.2 MWp facility earlier this year. The company plans to launch six more projects in the country to increase its domestic power capacity to 70 MWp. The move reflects R.Power's commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio and contributing to the transition towards cleaner energy sources in Portugal.
