R.Power Expands Solar Portfolio with 23 MWp in Romania

Polish solar power producer R.Power SA has signed contracts to build 23 MWp of photovoltaic farms in Romania. The projects will be executed by Nomad Electric and Waldervar, with construction set to begin soon in central and eastern Romania. The PV plants will be connected directly to the national medium-voltage grid and are expected to be operational by the second quarter of next year.

R.Power is expanding its presence in Romania, as well as in Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Germany. The company aims to have a solar PV portfolio of 100 MWp in Romania by 2025 and 1 GW of capacity globally by next year. In March, R.Power secured a pipeline of over 200 MWp with multiple solar schemes across Romania, all permitted and with grid-connection contracts in place.
