Repsol Starts Sigma: 204 MW Solar Complex

- Repsol is powering Andalusia with the 204-MW Sigma solar photovoltaic complex, providing enough electricity to power 43,000 homes. Aiming for 6,000 GW of installed renewables capacity globally by 2025.

Repsol has started production at its Sigma solar photovoltaic complex in the Spanish region of Andalusia. The 204-MW complex was created by assembling five solar farms and cost the company EUR 150 million (USD 164.1m). It is expected to generate around 430 GWh of electricity annually, enough to power 43,000 homes. Sigma is Repsol’s first solar project in Andalusia and third in Spain, and the company aims to reach 6,000 GW of installed renewables capacity around the world by 2025.
