Chinese solar project developer Renesola Ltd’s Board of Directors announced the moving of the global headquarters from China to the U.S. It will be based in Stamford, Connecticut, just outside New York City.
Furthermore, the company announced changings in the management. Yumin Liu will join Renesola on December 4, 2019, as new Chief Executive Officer. Liu ran the EMEA region for Canadian Solar, was President of Recurrent Energy, and held several leadership roles at GCL Solar. Moreover, Ke Chen was appointed as new Chief Financial Officer.
According to the Board of Directors, the appointments of both Yumin and Ke »reflect Renesola’s transition from a China-centric story to a global player with operations around the world, a stock traded in the U.S., and a development pipeline heavily focused on the U.S. and Europe.« Both Mr. Liu and Mr. Chen will be based in the new U.S. headquarters.
