Renantis has launched a crowdfunding lending campaign to raise funds for its 8.2-MW La Manganizza agrivoltaic project in Italy's Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. The project will require an investment of EUR 8 million and will be installed on a 15-ha area with over 14,000 double-sided PV modules mounted on single-axis trackers. Once operational, the solar project is estimated to produce 12 GWh of electricity annually, enough to power 4,000 homes. Citizens willing to take part in the funding campaign are able to acquire three-year loans of up to EUR 10,000, guaranteed by Renantis. The project will also have multiple beehives and 85% of the area will be available for cultivation. It is Renantis' second crowdfunding initiative in Italy, following a EUR-30-million project in Udine.
