Rays Power Infra, an Indian solar plant builder, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the government of Uttarakhand to construct a 500-MW solar park in the northern state. This project, which was signed during the COP28 climate summit, will help meet a considerable portion of the state’s power demands. The location and timeline of the project have not been released yet.

Rays Power Infra already has 1.3 GWp of solar parks in operation and an additional 2-GWp portfolio of projects under development planned for completion in the next 24 months. They also own a 50-MW solar park in Vietnam, a 275-MWp complex in Bangladesh, and are working to spread their presence to Asia, Middle East, and North Africa (MENA) regions.
