Power cuts due to severe drought affect JinkoSolar's production in Sichuan
- Chinese photovoltaics (PV) maker JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE: JKS) revealed today that the production capacity of its manufacturing facilities in Sichuan is impacted by province-wide power allocating actions.

The rural federal government imposed these limitations a week ago in an attempt to ease the power scarcity in the region emerging from the most awful drought in 60 years. Sichuan counts heavily on hydropower to cover most of its electrical energy requires.
