Portugal designates EUR 10m to sustain solar power in agriculture

- The Portuguese Ministry of Agriculture introduced it is designating EUR 10 million (USD 12.1 m) for solar projects under its Small Investments in Agricultural Exploration programme.

The announcement was made on Saturday when the federal government opened up applications for the installation of photovoltaic or pv (PV) panels on agricultural holdings under the program. The campaign covers investment support of approximately 70%, varying from EUR 700 to EUR 35,000.
The goal of this brand-new measure is to make the agriculture industry much more lasting, cutting-edge as well as successful, the Minister of Agriculture, Maria do Ceu Antunes, stated.
