O&L Nexentury to develop Germany's largest FPV plant

- On the "Philippsee", the gravel lake of Philipp & Co.KG in the German municipality of Bad Schönborn, Munich-based O&L Nexentury GmbH-- a business of Namibia-headquartered Ohlthaver & List Group-- is building what it claims is Germany's largest floating photovoltaic (FPV) plant.
With 15 megawatts of capacity the plant covers 8 hectares, around 15 percent of the water surface area in the gravel pit.
Building is arranged to start in the third quarter and also appointing at the end of this year. The power return, estimated at 16 gigawatt hours each year, is to be used both for the gravel plant's very own usage and also for feeding right into the grid.
