Nuclear power is becoming a green back-up alternative for renewables in Europe as well as to help reduce reliance on foreign materials of natural gas.
A global rush to secure gas ahead of winter months has sent prices surging, triggering politicians in Britain to look to nuclear to guarantee power safety and security. However gas is a huge part of the electrical energy mix as well as escaping it won't be simple. Throughout the network, the power system in France incorporates atomic as well as renewables, and while this makes it less dependent on gas imports, surging electrical power rates are forcing the nation to require a much less import-reliant Europe.
