NTPC Starts Commercial Operation On India's Largest Floating Solar Power Plant

- India's biggest power producer, State-owned National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has disclosed starting commercial operations on a Kayamkulam Floating Solar PV Project at Kayamkulam, Kerala. It is presently implementing the last part capacity of 35 MW out of the 92 MW project. This makes it India's largest floating solar power plant.
In a governing filing, the organisation held that the floating solarFloating Solar Power Plants in India - Opportunities & Challenges project was stated on Commercial Operation with effect from 00:00 hours of June 24.
This commercial operation has actually soared the standalone installed and commercial capacity of the PSU to 54749.20 MW. The team installed and commercial capacity of NTPC stands at 69114.20 MW.
