NTPC launches tender for 870kW photovoltaic station

  • Indian NTPC Limited has launched an action for 870-kilowatt rooftop photovoltaic station. The system will be installed at the company’s second stage of TG Hall in Vindhyachal.

The bids are to be submitted no later than Jan 17. The bid opening is scheduled for Jan 20. The offers have to be paired with earnest money payments amounting to 500,000 rupees.

The tenderers will bid for designing, engineering, manufacturing, supplying, erecting, and commissioning the plant. As well, the tender winner will be responsible for O&M of the installation during a year from the project acceptance. The turn-key works are to be completed within 545 days. 

The prospective offerers must have experience of designing, supplying, erecting and commissioning (or supervising the two latter processes) of grid-tied PV systems, with a cumulative capacity of 700+ kilowatt-peak. Moreover, the installations must include a power plant with a generation capacity no less than 100 kilowatt-peak, successfully operating for minimum half a year before the 20th of January. 

Besides, the Avg turnover of the auction participant over the preceding 3 fiscal years must be at least 35,600,000 rupees per year. By the last day of the preceding fiscal year, the net assets of the tenderer must constitute 100% of the paid-up capital.

Not long ago, the Indian energy giant floated an auction for two PV systems totaling to 550 kilowatts of capacity. The 500-kilowatt plant will be located at the roof of its Kaniha-based Talcher Super Thermal Power Station. The smaller one is to be erected on top of Talcher Thermal Power station, Talcher.
