Nordic Solar Expands with 40-MWp Swedish PV Acquisition

Danish solar company Nordic Solar A/S has purchased a 40-MWp solar park project on the Swedish island of Gotland from Helios Nordic Energy AB. The project is part of a larger 270-MWp pipeline that Nordic Solar is developing in Sweden in partnership with Helios Nordic, with around 150 MWp of projects already under construction or ready for development. The Gotland project will cover 60 hectares of land south of Visby and will be the first large-scale solar complex on the island.
The acquired project has all necessary permits and a grid connection agreement in place with Geab, the grid owner. Nordic Solar is currently constructing its first solar farm in Sweden in Lindesberg and aims to add several hundred MWp of solar capacity in the country in the coming years.
