Portugal-based CJR Renewables has been chosen by Israeli renewables developer Nofar Energy Ltd to build a 172-MWp solar photovoltaic park in Romania. The project, named Iepuresti, will involve all civil and electrical works, except for the PV modules. This marks CJR Renewables' 4th solar project in Romania, expanding their footprint in the country.

The Iepuresti PV farm will be located in Giurgiu County, on arable land near the border with Bulgaria. It will consist of 286,680 modules of 600 Wp each and 470 string inverters. The solar park, along with another PV plant in the Ghimpati region, is expected to generate around 400 GWh per year. Nofar has secured up to EUR 55 million in debt from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to finance the project duo.
