NextEnergy Capital has completed building of two subsidy-free solar farms in the UK totalling 115MW.

Llanwern, located in Newport, Wales, has a mounted ability of 75MW, making it the largest solar farm created and energised in the UK.

Total financial investment remained in the area of ₤ 43m.

The solar farm, a Development of National Significance, and also authorized by the Welsh Assembly in 2018, was constructed during the Covid-19 pandemic and also employed over 200 employees on website at peak building.
