Nevados Engineering Partners with Ampliform for 2GW Solar Project Supply
- Nevados Engineering and Ampliform join forces to supply All-Terrain Trackers (ATT) for 700MW solar project pipeline built 2023-2025 and 2GW long-term project pipeline, preserving the land and enhancing profitability.
What happened?
Nevados Engineering and Ampliform announced a strategic partnership and long-term agreement to provide integrated solar tracking platform solutions to the US-based solar project developer, operator and asset owner. Nevados will supply its All-Terrain Trackers (ATT) and energy optimization software to Ampliform across its near-term 700 MW project pipeline built in 2023 to 2025, and its long-term 2 GW project pipeline. Nevados will supply 48 MW of ATT for two Ampliform projects currently under construction in Pennsylvania. The company will also provide performance optimization with TRACE software and full-service project management, design optimization, and engineering support.
Why does it matter?
The Nevados solar tracking platform eliminates the need for costly, risky and destructive mass grading for every site in the portfolio, preserving the natural vegetation and topography of the land. The ATT system uses proprietary bearings that can install on slopes with grades up to 37% and slope changes up to 26%. This avoids the permitting, construction and revegetation steps associated with mass grading, reducing civil engineering and construction costs. The system uses top-clamp clips to self-align modules during installation and is tested to withstand hurricane-force winds, improving energy yield and creating new project opportunities for Ampliform.
What's next?
Nevados will continue to provide its integrated solar tracking platform solution to Ampliform, with the partnership set to kick off with the supply of 48 MW of ATT for two Ampliform projects currently under construction in Pennsylvania. Nevados will also offer performance optimization with TRACE software and full-service project management, design optimization, and engineering support for all Ampliform projects, regardless of size. Nevados will showcase its products and services at Intersolar North America, Booth #19 from February 14th to 16th in Long Beach, California. With the partnership, Ampliform can continue to enhance the profitability of its solar investments while preserving the natural vegetation and topography of the land.
