Neoenergia's 9mo wind, solar power generation up 84% y/y

• Brazilian energy business Neoenergia SA's (BVMF: NEOE3) wind and solar power generation in the initial 9 months of 2022 has raised by 84% year-on-year to 2,861 GWh.

According to a declaration launched by the business recently, development was driven by the start of commercial procedures of the 566.5-MW Oitis wind complicated and also the 149-MWp Luzia solar park, contributing to the 471-MW Chafariz wind complicated, already completely procedure since 2021.

Neoenergia explained that Oitis and Luzia are not totally functional. The wind farm presently has 176 MW in commercial and test procedures, while the solar plant has 124 MWp in both commercial and test procedures.

In the 3rd quarter, the firm saw its power generation from wind as well as solar energy surge 91.69% year-on-year to 1,434 GWh.

Neoenergia's Executive Director of Renewables, Laura Porto, noted that the firm spent BRL 1.5 billion (USD 298m/EUR 301.9 m) in renewable power during the initial 9 months of 2022.
