- Brazilian utility company Neoenergia SA (BVMF: NEOE3) has obtained the initial modules for the next construction phase of its 149.3-MW straight current (DC) Luzia solar park in the state of Paraiba.

The new solar plant, situated in the district of Santa Luzia, will make use of 228,780 CS7N photovoltaic or pv (PV) modules produced by Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ: CSIQ). Spanish solar trackers maker STI Norland will supply the plant's trackers.
As soon as up and running, Luzia will certainly have the ability to create sufficient power to fulfill the demand of more than 150,000 local homes. The solar park also notes the firm's access into the nation's centralised PV generation market.
Power supply is set to begin in the 2nd fifty percent of 2022.
Due to its area, the Luzia plant will have synergies with the 471-MW Chafariz wind complex, with which it will share transmission facilities, Neoenergia added.
