Neoen Unveils Italian Solar Trio: 24.7MW

Neoen has started construction of its first three renewable energy projects in Italy - two solar farms in Lombardy and one in Marche. Combined, the projects have a capacity of 24.7MW and are expected to be operational in early 2025. Neoen will retain 100% ownership and has also contracted Intec Energy Solutions as solar EPC system provider. The projects are expected to contribute to the government's target of 40% renewable energy consumption by 2030. Neoen has a growing team developing other solar and storage projects in Italy. With their efficient execution, they aim to quickly expand their presence in the country.
What Are Neoen's Solar Projects in Italy?
- The two solar farms in Lombardy have a combined capacity of 16.8MW.
- The solar farm in Marche has a capacity of 7.9MW.
- The projects are expected to produce enough energy to power around 12,000 households.
- The projects are expected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 14,400 tons of CO2 per year.
- The projects will utilize the latest solar technologies, such as trackers and bifacial modules.
- Neoen has announced plans to develop additional solar and storage projects in Italy, including a 50MWp solar farm in Campania.
