Naturgy cuts sod on 34-MW solar project in Spain

- Spanish utility Naturgy Energy Group SA (BME: NTGY) on Monday broke ground on a 34-MW solar plant project in Spain's south-eastern region of Murcia.

The business said that it is investing EUR 26 million (USD 27.5 m) to construct the Jumilla solar PV plant, which will certainly enable it to produce close to 250 straight and also indirect jobs throughout the life of the project.
The solar farm will be outfitted with 62,466 solar modules. As soon as in operation, Jumilla will produce around 73 GWh of power annually, Naturgy stated. According to the firm's website, commissioning is seen in the 4th quarter of 2023.
