Mytilineos' 48MW BESS Bid: Greek Energy Storage Tender

- Mytilineos SA has confirmed its participation in Greece's first energy storage tender – offering a 48MW/96MWh unit in Central Macedonia. Construction and operation is expected to complete by mid-2025. Over 3.3GW was offered for the 400MW round & Mytilineos is looking to participate in future tenders. 618MW of renewable power plants already in Greece & abroad.

Mytilineos SA has confirmed its participation in Greece's first energy storage tender, offering to install a 48MW/96MWh unit in Central Macedonia. The industrial group's Energy and Metals unit will be responsible for the construction and operation which is expected to be completed by mid-2025. The tender was heavily oversubscribed, with offers totalling 3.3GW for the 400MW round. Successful developers will receive up to EUR200,000 per MW to install the BESS capacity and Mytilineos is keen to participate in future tenders. As of June, the group already has 618MW of renewable power plants in Greece and abroad.
