- Amsterdam-based lasting energy company MPC Energy Solutions NV (OSE: MPCES) said on Monday that it has settled building of its 12.3-MW solar farm in Colombia and also connected the plant to the grid.
The firm spent USD 11 million (EUR 10.2 m) equity to develop as well as develop the Los Girasoles solar farm and also intends to safeguard debt funding message commissioning, it claimed.
Los Girasoles, or Sunflowers in Spanish, is located in Colombia's Norte de Santander department. The facility is equipped with panels provided by Trina Solar as well as inverters from Huawei. MPCES obtained the equipment straight, while Colombian service provider Socolco SAS offered engineering as well as building services.
The solar farm is anticipated to produce 23 GWh of power per year. Colombian energy investor Range procured the output under a long-term power acquisition agreement (PPA) with MPCES.
