- US renewables expert Apex Clean Energy claimed on Monday that it has signed an environmental attribute purchase agreement (EAPA) with technology titan Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ: META) for the full capacity of the 195-MW Angelo solar project in Texas.

Apex has simply started construction of the solar ranch in Tom Green County. Commercial operations are expected to begin in early 2024, the company said.
Angelo will contribute to Meta's objective of running local operations on 100% renewable energy, Apex claimed in a press release.
The most up to date is the sixth transaction between Apex and Meta involving a renewable energy project, bringing their joint portfolio to over 1,000 MW. The social metaverse firm formerly supported the 80-MW Altavista Solar with an EAPA, the 200-MW Aviator Wind East, the 175-MW Lincoln Land Wind, the 197-MW Jayhawk Wind, as well as the 225-MW Great Pathfinder Wind project.
