The granted projects equate to a joint venture valued at EUR 44.4 million. The developers of these projects have a timescale of 18 months to activate this capacity. As released by the Ministry of Economy, out of 106 tender applications, 85 were approved.

These successful schemes came from 75 distinct companies and were divided into three primary categories. These include installations of 30 kW to 200 kW, systems from 200 kW up to 500 kW, and larger scale plants of 500 kW-5 MW. Each category had a subsidy limit of EUR 810 per kW, EUR 610 per kW, and EUR 530 per kW respectively.

The 500 kW-5 MW category boasted the most significant share of the approved capacity, having secured 32.7 MWp. These projects will jointly benefit from a funding pool of EUR 9.8 million.

In light of the successful initial launch, Luxembourg plans to initiate a second tender phase next month, welcoming submissions until October. According to government data, out of 1,053 new installations activated in the country during the previous year, 793 were purposed for self-consumption.
