Longroad marketing 83-MW Virginia solar project to Dominion

  • US-based renewables developer-operator Longroad Energy said on Tuesday that it is marketing the 83-MW/108-MWp Foxhound Solar project in the US state of Virginia to local energies team Dominion Energy Inc (NYSE:D).

Financial details were not disclosed.

The Virginia-headquartered Dominion Energy will certainly take over a solar farm described as with the ability of powering greater than 17,000 residences. Foxhound, which is currently unfinished in Halifax County, includes long-lasting power acquisition arrangements (PPAs) in position, according to Longroad.

The plant will be equipped with US-made Series 6+ solar modules made and provided by First Solar. Nextracker will provide the trackers as well as TMEIC will send out solar inverters. Foxhound will also be surrounded by native pollinator-friendly flora as part of Virginia's biodiversity qualification program, Longroad claimed.

Financial close of the procurement is anticipated once the Foxhound project gets to mechanical conclusion, which is expected for January 2024.
