LONGi preparing new 5GW solar cell plant in Yinchuan for 2022

- Significant 'Solar Module Super Organization' (SMSL) participant LONGi Solar is intending to build a new 5GW high-efficiency monocrystalline solar cell plant in Yinchuan, China.

The SMSL manufacturer currently runs a 3GW cell plant in the Yinchuan Economic as well as Technological Development Zone, while parent company LONGi Green Energy likewise has a 15GW ingot/wafer production plant in the location.
LONGi claimed that the brand-new cell plant was expected to be taken into production in 2022, although passage of the strategies was pending. The firm did not reveal the anticipated financial investment costs for the brand-new cell production project.
