KORE Power Boosts US Battery Production with Energy Vault Agreement

- Energy Vault chooses KORE Power to supply US battery production from 2025, with initial 1.3 GWh capacity increasing to 18 GWh. US Department of Energy offers $850 million loan and Energy Vault makes $15M investment in KORE Power.
Energy storage company Energy Vault has chosen KORE Power as its US battery production supplier from 2025 onwards. KORE Power, based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, will manufacture batteries at its KOREPlex facility in Arizona with initial delivery capacity of 1.3 GWh in 2025, increasing up to 7 GWh in 2027. Furthermore, the firm is exploring expanding its manufacturing capacity with additional US facilities, with plans to increase KOREPlex’s production capacity to 18 GWh. Energy Vault also made a $15M early-stage strategic investment in KORE Power which was coupled with a conditional commitment from the US Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office for an $850 million loan.
What Is the US Battery Production Supplier For Energy Vault in 2025?
