How Is KFC Philippines Reaching Sustainable Growth?

  • KFC Philippines is expanding its recycling initiative by introducing a 'tray-to-tray' system, which encourages customers to return their trays after their meal for reuse.
  • It has also implemented closed-loop systems in some locations, where cooking oil is collected and recycled to provide bio-diesel fuel for the company's delivery vehicles.
  • The company is also making use of energy-saving LED lighting in some stores, and is investigating the potential of using solar cooling systems.
  • KFC Philippines is also exploring the use of renewable energy sources such as wind, geothermal, and bio-gas, which it believes will help to reduce the company's carbon footprint.
  • In addition, the company is working with suppliers and farmers to ensure that its products are sourced sustainably and that its operations are as environmentally-friendly as possible.
