Kajima JV Sells 37.3-MW Solar Project to Infinis

Taiyo Power and Storage, a joint venture between Kajima and Low Carbon Alliance, has sold a 37.3-MW greenfield solar project in England to Infinis Solar Developments Ltd. The project, located in East Devon near Exeter Airport, is in the ready-to-build stage and is expected to generate about 37.9 GWh of electricity annually, enough to power approximately 18,500 homes. The project includes plans for green infrastructure improvements such as tree and hedgerow planting, covering a total of 58 hectares of land.

The Ford Oaks photovoltaic park is set to enter commercial operations by 2026 and is Taiyo's first project to achieve planning consent. The company, established in 2021, aims to develop additional solar energy assets to enhance the UK's renewable energy capacity in the future. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
