A Middle Eastern financial investment consortium has exposed that it has obtained its first 10 MWp delivery of 405 Wp bifacial photovoltaic panels from Chinese panel manufacturer Jolywood for the 500 MW Ibri 2 job in Oman.

The consortium-- that includes ACWA Power, Gulf Investment Corp., as well as Alternative Energy Projects-- defined the shipment as an important "landmark," offered the challenges posed by the pandemic.

"The arrival of the initial shipment of the bifacial solar panels to the project website on time is absolutely a major achievement as a result of the huge obstacles dealt with as a result of Covid -19 relevant supply chain disruptions in China," stated Rajit Nanda, primary investment police officer of ACWA Power.

The Ibri 2 PV IPP job, which is being integrated in Oman's Al-Dhahirah Governorate, will certainly feature around 1.4 million PV components panels and also will cover 13 million square meters. The 500 MW setup will certainly be the country's greatest utility-scale solar job.
