JinkoSolar establishes new efficiency records for its solar modules
- The global solar industry leader has demonstrated new achievements for its HOT bifacial N-type and mono-PERC P-type module. Both types of solar devices have been tested by German TÜV Rheinland.

According to JinkoSolar, its p-type monocrystalline passivated emitter and rear cell module has broken a global efficiency record, with a 21.82 percent rate. As for n-type monocrystalline bifacial HOT modules, they have demonstrated peak achievement of 22.49 percent efficiency. Both records have been certified by Cologne-based TÜV Rheinland Group.
Utilization of a bigger and purer n- and p-type monocrystalline silicon wafer has allowed improving light-to-electricity conversion rates of solar modules. The company doesn’t reveal what size of modules and wafers have been subject to testing.
What has made new achievements possible is application of some innovative techs, including advanced antireflection coating, metallisation and tiling ribbon applied to negatively charged modules. The latter allows eliminating intercell gaps, which makes solar modules more reliable and efficient. The TR technology has already been implemented to some modules being produced. No more information has been disclosed.
