With the Financing Programme for the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) Model Projects in FY2022, the Japanese federal government can cover up to half of the first investment costs.

Eurus claimed that the selected schemes are 2 solar plants of 9 MW each, located in the towns of Teno as well as Yungay. The projects are being implemented together with the Chilean government also.

With the new duo, Eurus currently has 4 projects under the JCM Model.

Once up and running, the Japanese developer approximates that the solar parks ought to be capable of balancing out 16,581 tonnes of greenhouse gas discharges (GHG) annually, making a contribution to the decarbonisation of the local market.
