JA Solar Technology Co Ltd has signed an agreement to supply 150 MW of photovoltaic modules to a solar power plant in Bangladesh. Upon completion by the end of 2023, it will be the second largest of its kind in the country, with the company having previously supplied the modules for Bangladesh’s first large-scale solar power plant, a 28-MW project. This marks another milestone in JA Solar’s aim to advance the adoption of solar in Bangladesh and create more value in the local solar market. The partnership with Indian solar plant builder Rays Power Infra Pvt Ltd is also expected to play a key role, with the 275-MW DC solar park being put on stream in early 2023.
