Iran opens up 150-MW solar PV factory

- Iran's Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization, likewise called SATBA, recently opened up a 150-MW solar cell and module manufacturing facility near the city of Khomein, Khomeyn County in Markazi Province.

A press statement launched by SATBA states that in future phases, to be understood by end-2023, the overall capacity of the brand-new facility will be expanded to 1,500 MW.
Previously this year, SATBA launched a call for the advancement and building and construction of 10,000 MW of eco-friendly power plants with the help of the private sector, including for solar parks of a minimum of 10 MW.
In December, the chairman of the organisation, Mahmoud Kamani, announced that ask for roughly 80,000 MW have been signed up as part of the call.
