Invinity to provide 8-MWh battery for Australian solar project
- Invinity Energy Systems Plc (LON: IES) on Tuesday revealed an order for an 8-MWh Vanadium Flow Battery system for a solar project in South Australia.

The project, developed by Yadlamalka Energy Pty Ltd, will certainly utilise the battery system together with a 6-MW solar park. The facility is arranged for delivery in the second half of 2021, pending planning permission. The project's worth is estimated at concerning AUD 20 million (USD 14.7 m/EUR 12.3 m).
After getting a deposit on the contract, which deserves GBP 6.7 million (USD 8.9 m/EUR 7.5 m) in overall, Invinity will begin making the 41 VS3 circulation batteries for the system in the initial fifty percent of 2021.
The order is the largest for Invinity to date as well as adheres to deals to supply 7.8 MWh of batteries for 4 projects in California introduced in October, a 1.8-MWh battery for a tidal project off the coast of Scotland and also a 0.5-MWh system for an additional project in California in November.
